Two big weddings in April with 500+ guests each. SweetAs lined up several customers for Imbali, providing an incredible marketing ROI.
We are a female-owned business, with over 15 years of experience in event management. We specialise in events such as weddings and parties, providing décor services, catering, cake, cleaning and other on demand services. We usually take jobs in rural Eastern Cape and Johannesburg. We love helping people in under developed areas. I founded Imbali back in 2012.
I found out about SweetAs on Google.
When joining SweetAs, I was looking for more clients and better business exposure for Imbali. As an event management business we were having a difficult time finding clients. What we needed was a system or tool that worked, one that brought in more work but wasn’t expensive.
Our first job was managing a 21st birthday party. It was in Queenstown.
There were a couple of big weddings. The first one was on 27 April 2018 with 500 guests. And then the very next way was the biggest wedding project I’ve ever managed.
Among the more memorable events are community engagement projects and corporate social investment projects. I feel we have a social responsibility of helping those in need. Giving back to the community is of the utmost importance.
SweetAs has been a big help for my business. The platform has delivered great clients while also cutting marketing costs which was a concern for us.

SweetAs has been a big boost for my business. While I started the business on my own, I have employed 3 interns and am planning to add more people to the team as Imbali continues to grow.
Yes! I have referred many people to SweetAs.
Simple – complete your profile. This is where it all begins when potential clients find you on SweetAs.
The best way to get reviews is to share nice reminders of your services i.e. pictures of the event you did for the client. Clients will be more willing to provide a good review after looking at the photos. You should also maintain a social media page and a website.
Professionalism is all-important. Plus, frequent follow-ups are also crucial.
